Atmel Receives "Best IoT Product" Award In ARM Innovation Challenge

San Jose, Calif., November 13, 2015 - Atmel® Corporation (NASDAQ: ATML), a global leader in microcontroller (MCU) and touch solutions, today announced the Atmel | SMART Bluetooth solution (http://www.atmel.com/products/wireless/bluetooth/default.aspx) was awarded the "Best IoT Product" in the 2015 ARM Innovation Challenge.

The ARM® Innovation Challenge is open to all exhibitors at the ARM TechCon Event held this week in Santa Clara, California, recognizing exceptional innovation. Winners were selected by a panel of judges from a field of 12 finalists.

Atmel | SMART Bluetooth solutions set new low-power standards with at least 30% power savings in dynamic mode compared to available solutions. Solutions are available in small 2.1mm x 2.1mm WLCSP packages, enabling design flexibility for next-generation IoT applications and can be combined with most Atmel MCUs for complete, easy-to-implement IoT platforms. Atmel | SMART Bluetooth solutions provide designers a very low-power platform to develop smart, connected devices in space-constrained applications.
