Stefan Meister joins the Bertarelli Family Investments Holding Company as Chief Operating Officer.

(ddp direct) Geneva, 14th July 2011: Kedge Capital Holdings (Jersey) Ltd, which is the holding company for the Bertarelli Family Investments, has announced today the appointment of Stefan Meister as Chief Operating Officer as of September 2011.
In his position, Stefan Meister will help develop the Bertarelli Family Holding Company investments and operational capabilities and will work closely with the Board and its Chairman on the development and implementation of the Group strategy.
Stefan will bring to the Group his ability to thoroughly understand portfolio businesses and macro-level strategic leadership that will support our business lines. Besides, his expertise within a family structure, his sense of analysis and judgment are of great importance. We are really looking forward to having him on board, comments Ernesto Bertarelli, Chairman of the Kedge Capital Holdings (Jersey) Ltd.
Stefan Meister, 45, joins from Haniel Group where he was previously CFO and Member of the Management Board, Franz Haniel & Cie. He was in charge of the corporate functions of Finance, Treasury, IT, Corporate Responsibility and Purchasing as well as the portfolio companies CWS-boco and ELG.

Mr. Meister studied Economics at Basel University and started his career in 1991 at Novartis AG (Basel), holding various positions including a role as Head of Divisional Controlling. At Haniel, Stefan Meister gathered extensive experience as both the groups CFO and as a General Manager of group affiliates. During his 16 years at Haniel, he developed excellent relationships with both family and non-family board members and has an impressive and successful long term track record.

Stefan succeeds in this role Phil Swan who has expressed the wish to move on to non-executive responsibilities within the Bertarelli Family Investments Holding Company and to a more direct supporting role for members of the family.
